The International Rescue Committee Job Placement/Job Training AmeriCorps Program is a national service program coordinated by the International Rescue Committee, Inc. (IRC), located in New York. The program places 25 AmeriCorps members in 19 IRC offices across the United States.
Job Placement and Job Training AmeriCorps members will serve in King County at the local IRC office in Seattle/SeaTac. Job Placement AmeriCorps members’ service responsibilities include helping clients develop employment plans and guide clients throughout the employment process. Job Training AmeriCorps members’ service responsibilities include helping expand the job training curriculum, implementing job training courses, and keeping track of client’s pre and post assessments. Members also help with managing volunteers for the employment program.
