Neighborcare Health - Washington Service Corps

A partner of the Washington Service Corps

Neighborcare Health’s mission is to provide comprehensive healthcare to families and individuals who have difficulty accessing care, and work with others to improve the overall health status of communities in and around King County. AmeriCorps members perform outreach to underserved community members currently without access to care, offer assistance establishing a "health care home" with a Neighborcare clinic, and link patients to health resources, such as health education classes taught by one of the members. Specifically, the AmeriCorps program aims to link low-income and uninsured individuals to primary care, link children to dental care, link students to school-based health centers, and link homeless individuals to primary care.

Members serve in several of Neighborcare’s clinics based in King County, as well as its school-based program.
