Inslee, Murray, Jayapal to be recognized for support of national service

Washington officials among select bipartisan group of national service champions being honored

 

OLYMPIA, Wash. Recognizing the exceptional support and commitment of Washington state officials for national service, Voices for National Service will honor Gov. Jay Inslee, U.S. Sen. Patty Murray and U.S. Rep. Pramila Jayapal at the 15th Annual Friends of National Service Awards in Washington, D.C., on Feb. 13, 2018.

 

Acting CEO of the Corporation for National and Community Service joins Serve Washington to present AmeriCorps grant award to Vet Corps

Kim Mansaray, Acting CEO of the Corporation for National and Community Service joins Debbie Schuffenhauer, Executive Director, Serve Washington to present a "check" to the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs Director Lourdes "Alfie" Alvarado-Ramos and Vet Corps Program Manager Jason Alves announcing their AmeriCorps grant award for Program Year 2017-18 for the Vet Corps program.

Serve Washington receives $16.3 million in AmeriCorps funding

Funding will support 1,462 AmeriCorps members

OLYMPIA, Wash. – Serve Washington, the governor-appointed state service commission, announced today that the state has received a total of $16.3 million in AmeriCorps State program funding from the Corporation for National and Community Service, the federal agency for volunteering and service programs.
