TechMission Corps

TechMission Corps (TMC) is an AmeriCorps National Direct program that brings innovative afterschool program models to faith-based organizations that serve at-risk communities. TMC currently has 60 AmeriCorps members serving in faith-based organizations in Boston, Chicago, Denver, Seattle and Los Angeles. Members serve in the following capacities:

K-8 Afterschool Programs: Each year, members provide academic support services and weekly technology activities to 1600 at-risk students in grades K-8.

Teen Programs: Members serve 700 at-risk high school students annually by providing technology training and academic assistance; and helping staff to provide college readiness and placement services.

Capacity Building: Members recruit and coordinate 2,500 volunteers annually (online and offline), secure in-kind donations, and train community leaders on effectively using technology in community programs.
