Rural Resources Community Action - Washington Service Corps

A Partner of the Washington Service Corps

Rural Resources Community Action’s mission is to assist people and communities to develop the skills, resources, and services necessary to improve their general welfare.  Rural Resources partners with AmeriCorps by placing members in school districts across Stevens and Ferry Counties to provide academic tutoring to students who are struggling with math and/or literacy.  When there are breaks in school, AmeriCorps members will also serve at other non-profits in their communities because rural communities tend to be underserved and lack necessary resources and support.  Partnering AmeriCorps with Rural Resources Community Action increases resources and support available to underserved rural communities and demonstrates commitment to civic service and engagement.
