A Partner of The Corps Network

The Department of Ecology's Washington Conservation Corps (WCC) received 40 education award positions through The Corps Network (TCN), a national direct AmeriCorps Program. TCN members work to restore and enhance salmon habitat and educate the public about environmental topics.

In addition to acquiring hands-on skills, TCN AmeriCorps members are offered excellent formal training opportunities, many of which result in a certification. Training courses may include Wilderness Advanced First Aid and Wilderness First Responder; Wetlands Assessment; Wildland Firefighting; Hazardous Materials Response; Native Plants; GPS; and more.
