AmeriCorps to swear in hundreds of new members

OLYMPIA, Wash. – Serve Washington on Friday will host a celebration for hundreds of local AmeriCorps members as they commit to a year’s service in communities throughout Washington. Serving at more than 900 locations throughout the state, AmeriCorps members tutor and mentor children, support veterans and military families, provide health services, restore the environment, respond to disasters, increase economic opportunity, and recruit and manage volunteers.

Serve Washington and Seattle Mariners announce Salute to Volunteers Night

Serve Washington and the Seattle Mariners partner again to honor all volunteers in Washington state at Salute to Volunteers Night, Tuesday April 11, 2017, where the Mariners play the Houston Astros.  We hope you can join us for this special night to thank our volunteers!  An on-field pre-game ceremony will be held to honor recipients of the Governor’s Volunteer Service Award.
