2022 Leader Corps Description

Serve Washington is pleased to announce that we will host a 2022 Washington Leader Corps Training for AmeriCorps and VISTA members who would like to deepen their leadership capacity through reflective practices and skills development.

Members will meet for a virtual workshop series consisting of four, three-hour sessions facilitated by Jeff Birdsall and Francesca Lo on February 16 and 17, 2022 and March 16 and 17, 2022. All sessions from 9 a.m. to noon and will be held via ZOOM. Please visit the link to register.

Training Description

The Leader Corps training is designed to facilitate a deeper understanding of effective leadership by exploring frameworks and tools to develop awareness and skills such as: critical leadership theory, understanding leadership styles, effective facilitation skills, giving and receiving feedback and practicing anti-racism in service and leadership. The detailed training agenda will be provided along with the zoom link prior to the event start date. The workshops will be interactive and will include presentation of material, large and small group discussions, interactive reflection opportunities, along with additional resources to explore beyond the sessions.
