Serve Washington is pleased to announce a Notice of Funding Opportunity for the BIPOC-Led and Small Nonprofit Equity Fund.
Supported by the Schultz Family Foundation, we created an equity-focused fund to increase the engagement and participation of BIPOC-led and small community-based nonprofit organizations in AmeriCorps. The primary goal is to diversify nonprofit organizations that are hosting, supervising, and growing AmeriCorps members. Organizations applying for this grant must be community-based and have a partnership with an existing AmeriCorps program operating in Washington State.
For more details and specific requirements, see:
Proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis as funds are available. Requests must be submitted via the BIPOC-Led and Small Nonprofit Equity Fund Request form.
The grant period began December 1, 2022, and ends June 30, 2024.
Serve Washington is pleased to announce the 2024 AmeriCorps State Competitive Request for Grant Applications (RFGA) to meet state and local challenges through service and volunteer action. There are three opportunities for funding: New/Recompete AmeriCorps Grants, AmeriCorps Continuation Grants, and Public Health AmeriCorps (PHA) Grants. Organizations should pay particular attention to which opportunity to apply for. You may only apply to one opportunity.
New/Recompete AmeriCorps Grants are for organizations ready to implement an AmeriCorps program and are not already funded by Serve Washington OR are for organizations that have completed a three-year operational grant and are looking to renew another three-year operational grant. If you are new to AmeriCorps in general, you may want to consider a planning grant opportunity which will be available spring of 2024.
AmeriCorps Continuation Grants are currently funded operational grants entering year two or year three of a three-year cycle.
Public Health AmeriCorps (PHA) Continuation Grants are for organizations ready to implement an AmeriCorps program and are not already funded by Serve Washington and meet the purpose of the specialty funding as described in the PHA Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) below. PHA has two main goals; one, to help meet public health needs of local communities by providing needed capacity and support in state and local public health settings and advancing more equitable health outcomes for communities who are currently or historically underserved and two, to provide pathways to good, quality public health-related careers by providing exposure through onsite experience, training, and more, with a focus on recruiting AmeriCorps members who reflect the communities in which they will serve. You may only apply for this opportunity if you already have a PHA grant.
