AmeriCorps WA Swearing-in Ceremony & 30th anniversary kickoff

All AmeriCorps members--whether new, returning or somewhere in between--are invited to attend our AmeriCorps Swearing in Ceremony & Launch. This "launch" of the service year celebrates AmeriCorps members' commitment to service. The ceremony gives members an opportunity to learn about other AmeriCorps programs in Washington state, be inspired by a keynote speaker and netowrk with other AmeriCorps members. The ceremony includes a moderate Q&A session with a panel of AmeriCorps alumni and concludes with the recitation of the AmeriCorps service pledge.

AmeriCorps members are also invited to atttend a series of professional development workshops that take place in the afternoon. 

This year's event is also the kickoff of the 30th anniversary of AmeriCorps programs in WA. 

Registration is limited to 500 people. Priority is given to current and returning AmeriCorps members, AmeriCorps program staff, Serve Washington staff and service commissioners and AmeriCorps WA alums. If you are not directly affiliated with these groups but would like to attend as a guest, please email mary.vanverst@ofm.wa.gov.
