What: This 3-day course provides participants with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to serve as a Community Emergency Response Team, CERT, volunteer. As a CERT volunteer, your skills can provide an important role before, during and after a disaster. The skills you learn in this class will enable you to help people impacted by disasters.
There are no prerequisites, other than a desire to learn and help others. You’ll learn basic disaster response skills, including team organization, light search and rescue, disaster medical operations protocol, basic first aid, fire safety protocol and more. All courses are taught by emergency management professionals. The class concludes with a disaster simulation exercise to practice what you learned.

Audience: Anyone willing to learn and a desire to help others.
Teens welcome with written permission form parent or guardian. Youths 11 and 12 can participate if accompanied by parent or guardian.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis; class size is limited to 20, so register early.
