CERT Train the Trainer

What: This 3-day course provides participants with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to instruct the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)  training that prepares citizens to assist in emergency response activities in their local communities The class is a requirement to become a recognized CERT instructor in Washington. 

Target audience: Program trainers or coordinators with knowledge of CERT who are committed to serving as instructors in their community, and are willing to be included in a statewide instructor database.

Prerequisites:

(1) Referral from CERT sponsoring agency (typically a local, regional or state governent agency)

(2)  Completion of CERT Basic Training or IS-317

  • If you are not a first repsonder, please complete IS-317 CERT Basic Training. It is required.
  • For current first repsonders please submit a copy of your CERT Basic Training or IS-317 certificate.

(3) FEMA Student ID number. If you need help locating or creating your FEMA Student ID click here.
