City Year Seattle-King County

City Year is an education-focused, non-profit organization dedicated to helping students and schools succeed. City Year partners with public schools in high-poverty communities to help students graduate from high school, ready for college or a career.

Diverse teams of City Year AmeriCorps members work in schools full-time to provide high-impact student, classroom and school-wide support from the first bell through afterschool programs. They learn how to tutor and help kids develop life skills, like teamwork and setting goals, that are important in school and out. Alongside teachers and school leaders, we give kids more individualized attention and promote a positive culture throughout the whole school. A proud member of the AmeriCorps national service network, City Year is made possible by support from the Corporation for National and Community Service, school district partnerships, and private philanthropy from corporations, foundations and individuals.
