College Possible's mission is to close the degree divide and make college possible for students from low-income backgrounds through an intensive curriculum of coaching and support.
For more than 20 years, College Possible has refined its model of near-peer coaching using a research-based curriculum.
We are a national leader in college success programming. Our college access and success coaches are passionate and dedicated recent college graduates serving as AmeriCorps members. They offer advice mentoring and support to students to help them learn to navigate the often complex world of college preparation, persistence and graduation. Our model starts in a student’s junior year of high school with college readiness and preparation curriculum. Senior year, the focus is on college selection, application and financial aid completion and a summer bridge curriculum focused on the transition to college. Once our College Possible students enroll in college, their coaching support continues through college for six years. Our college coaches focus on persistence activities, including continuous enrollment, financial aid completion, fostering a sense of belonging on campus, and career readiness.
