This 3-day CERT Train the Trainer course will provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to instruct the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training that prepares citizens to assist in emergency response activities in their local community. This class is a requirement to be a recognized CERT Instructor in Washington State. This class is a requirement to be a recognized CERT Instructor in Washington State. Target Audience:
Program trainers or coordinators knowledgeable of the CERT program, committed to serving as instructors in their community, and willing to be included in a statewide instructor database.
Prerequisites:
(1) Referral from CERT Sponsoring Agency
(2) Completion of CERT training (Online or in-class training)
(3) Endorsement by State CERT Coordinating Agency
(4) Endorsement by Local Program Manager
Registration:
Interested participants must complete and submit an application by no later than Monday November 1, 2021. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis; class size is limited to 24.
