Washington Climate Corps Network teams up with Path to Positive to offer climate ambassador training

OLYMPIA—The Washington Climate Corps Network, WCCN, in partnership with Path to Positive, will be offering free, virtual, two-part climate ambassador training. The training takes place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Pacific Time on Sept. 10 and 12. The trainings will be held via Zoom.

The training is designed to equip community members with the knowledge, hands-on experience and resources to speak and act confidently on climate change solutions topics. Participants will learn how to lead presentations, communicate effectively and invite others into climate action.

Topics that will be covered:

• The case for climate action and climate basics
• Impacts to local communities and climate justice
• Climate solutions and benefits
• Communicating on climate
• Advocacy and engagement
• Making a difference as an ambassador

This training is open to all Serve Washington program partners and anyone interested in learning about climate change solutions.

How to sign up: Participants can use this registration link to sign up. After registering, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to join the sessions.

Path to positive also has a free self-paced climate ambassador training for anyone who cannot attend the live session.
