Announcing a special opportunity to honor and recognize volunteers and outstanding community members who inspire you as a special part of the upcoming George H.W. Bush Points of Light Awards Celebration on Sept. 26, 2020
Doing good comes in many forms, and when we think about civic life today, we know that people who do good or want to create change don’t necessarily assign themselves traditional labels like “volunteer.” As part of this year’s awards celebration, the Points of Light created an Inspiration Honor Roll of everyday individuals from around the world who are responding to these challenges in inspiring and innovative ways.
The Points of Light invite you to nominate everyday individuals who are responding to these challenges to be recognized in their Inspiration Honor Roll and featured on their website with a photograph and description of their service. You can nominate someone who is a volunteer, or simply a neighbor who helped another, or even a frontline worker such as a nurse or grocery store cashier. They are also planning to identify 10 of these stories as Inspiration Spotlights that will be recognized during The George H.W. Bush Points of Light Awards Celebration livestream on Sept. 26, 2020.
The deadline to submit your nomination is August 31, 2020.
