The Sea Mar – AmeriCorps program is a national service program that places members in different positions where they can provide their services directly, all through Sea Mar and associated programs
Members will provide their services for eleven months and will receive a living stipend as well as an educational award at the end of their service. Other benefits include health insurance and, if you are eligible, assistance with childcare. Members gain experience for future careers in healthcare. All positions at AmeriCorps require fluency in the English language and some fluency in a second language such as: Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, or Russian. (Note: Not being fluent in a second language will not disqualify your application for certain positions.) Members must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or a GED, and must be citizens, legal permanent residents of the United States.
