Gov. Inslee proclaims April 16-22 Volunteer Appreciation Week

OLYMPIA--Gov. Jay Inslee has proclaimed April 16-22 Volunteer Appreciation Week in Washington.

It coincides with National Volunteer Week, which is observed as a collective opportunity to recognize the impact of volunteer service and the power of volunteers to tackle society's greatest challenges.

OLYMPIA-- Gov. Jay Inslee’s proposed 2023-2025 budget will support two new AmeriCorps service opportunities as well as existing AmeriCorps programs administered by Serve Washington, the state’s commission for national and community service.

OLYMPIA—Gov. Jay Inslee has proclaimed Monday, Jan. 16 as the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service in the state of Washington.

MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a National Day of Service that encourages people across America to volunteer to improve their communities.
