OLYMPIA--Gov. Jay Inslee has proclaimed April 17-23 Volunteer Appreciation Week in ther state of Washington.

It coincides with National Volunteer Week, which is observed as a collective opportunity to recognize the impct of volunteer service and the power of volunteers to tackle society's greatest challenges. Read the national proclamation.

It is Salute to Volunteers Night at T-Mobile Park on Saturday, April 23, 6:10 p.m., where the Seattle Mariners play the Kansas City Royals. Come out and join us at this bookend event in honor of all volunteers and National Volunteer Week, April 17-23, 2022!

On April 16 at Salute to Volunteers Night, the Seattle Mariners recognized honorees of the 2018 Governor's Volunteer Service Awards during a pre-game on-field ceremony where the youngest honoree, nine year old Jayden Nelson threw the ceremonial first pitch. Watch the ceremony video.
