Vet Corps member and Yakima County Veterans Program employee recognized for their role in saving life of Toppenish man

TOPPENISH—A Washington State Vet Corps member and a Yakima County Veterans Program employee are being lauded for their roles in saving the life of a Toppenish Man. portraits of Farnando Hernandez and Angel Mendoza

The federal AmeriCorps agency recently sent letters of recognition to Vet Corps member Fernando Hernandez and Yakima County Veterans program employee Angel Mendoza for their efforts. 

Acting CEO of the Corporation for National and Community Service joins Serve Washington to present AmeriCorps grant award to Vet Corps

Kim Mansaray, Acting CEO of the Corporation for National and Community Service joins Debbie Schuffenhauer, Executive Director, Serve Washington to present a "check" to the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs Director Lourdes "Alfie" Alvarado-Ramos and Vet Corps Program Manager Jason Alves announcing their AmeriCorps grant award for Program Year 2017-18 for the Vet Corps program.
