Volunteer Generation Fund Grant information webinar

Serve Washington will also be hosting a virtual meeting at 11 a.m. pacific time April 17 for organizations to speak with Washington service commissioners about their needs and ideas for applying for the Volunteer Generation Fund Grant.

Serve Washington’s executive director, Amber Martin-Jahn will moderate a discussion about the funding opportunity, what projects in Washington the VGF grant has supported in the past and provide a space to share ideas related to the current opportunity for Washington communities and organizations. The VGF grant is intended to help organizations grow and strengthen their volunteer management efforts. AmeriCorps, the federal agency on service and volunteerism, is administering the grant, but organizations do not need to have a connection to an AmeriCorps prorgam to apply. 

Attendance this session is not mandatory to apply for the grant. However, it gives organizations a chance to ask questions and learn about the technical aspects of the notice of funding opportunity.
