Serve Washington announces 2024 Washington State Volunteer Service Award winners

OLYMPIA—Serve Washington has announced the winners of its first ever Washington State Volunteer Service Awards.

A total of 14 awards were given out to groups and individuals across the state. The awards recognize many acts of kindness individuals, families, service groups and organizations perform in communities across the state of Washington. The awards were given to individuals and groups who performed volunteer activities during 2023.

Serve Washington seeks submissions for Volunteer Story Project that highlights how Washingtonians volunteer, support and give back to their communities

OLYMPIA – Serve Washington is now accepting story submissions to recognize and celebrate volunteers and helpers in communities across Washington. This project honors formal and informal volunteerism and strives to highlight the many ways Washingtonians supported our communities and state by contributing their time and talent in 2021.

Serve Washington announces free training and technical assistance workshops

OLYMPIA—Serve Washington is hosting its 2024 series of free training and technical assistance workshops. The workshops are ideal for people who work or serve within non-profit or community-based organizations, governments, tribes, emergency management or other field that has a major focus on service and volunteerism. 

Topics covered will include tips providing behavioral health support to people in crisis and emergency preparedness for yourself and family members.
